Alpha 0.24 has been released

New versions can add new content, new optimizations, new inprovements new bugfixes, and sometimes even new bugs. Let’s hope that this version doesn’t add any bug!

This version is very different from some others. While the difference between a version to a version can be invisible, after this we can almost surely say is the version we run 0.24+ or not. Why? Because it adds new font: Alef.

Not only the font. At the bottom-right corner of the logo we can see another element: splash! Yes, randomally taken phrases from a file, written at a certain angle and in the yellow color. OK, our splashes have not be only yellow, but for few seconds, after it was started as red one, it becomes yellow or near to this color, before it bacomes green, then cyan, then blue, then magenta, and after that it comes back to be red and this circle starts from the start.

Also, there was started a work on the optimization, and fixed some bugs, if not all, that are linked to supplying items to building blocks and to utilities system.

There is a lot of things that remained as they were. Distributing as installable and portable editions is one of them. The second one is the invitation to download the game for free and to enjoy from it.

  • Fixed the bug where if there was not enough items at a given coordinate, the settler would receive unnecessary grab-to-build and grab-to-supply-to-build tasks
  • Fixed the bug where people didn’t walk to gather more items in order to supply them to building blocks or to utilities

  • Fixed the item supplying system to building blocks
  • Fixed the plant skin generating system, now it is based on the last plant stage
  • Improved the item supplying system to utilities
  • Changed the font to Alef
  • Changed the title of loading textures to “Loading resources”
  • Changed the copyright notice in the menu: it specifies that illegal copying is prohibited
  • Split the language files into smaller ones
  • Moved the loading of the basic assets to ‘basic_res.json5’
  • Moved the shades and the cursor images to “terrain.png”
  • Deleted the libraries from the EXE file
